The solution, emulsion, suspension liquid or slurry are sprayed into fine beads in the hot air, going down from the top of the drying chamber to the bottom, where water evaporates and the product becomes powder or granular material.
Hot air is induced from the top of the drying tower while material liquid is pumped to the top via screw pump or peristaltic pump. The feeding solution atomizes into fine beads or droplets through the atomizer. When droplets meet high-temperature hot air, water evaporates immediately, drying the material into finished product in seconds. The product discharges from the bottom of the drying tower or from the cyclone (depending on configuration).
Various fine powder separation and recovery devices are available, including cyclone (common type and combination types), bag filter, cyclone + bag filter, cyclone + wet scrubber, and bag filter + wet scrubber. We select appropriate separation devices based on product characteristics and customer requirements.
Depending on product features and requirements, we can install secondary drying and cooling systems (such as ZLG vibration fluid bed or pneumatic transportation), formulation systems, powder sieving systems, or dehumidifiers after the spray dryer.
